This Sunday: “He Could Have, He Should Have…but Didn’t”

He could have…He should have…but didn’t

Long before Samson became known for his legendary strength, his story began with a divine promise. Judges 13-14 introduces us to God’s miraculous plan—a deliverer born to a barren woman, set apart from birth to rescue Israel.

In Judges 13, an angel appears to a childless couple, announcing that their son will be a Nazirite, dedicated to God. But as Judges 14 unfolds, we see Samson’s impulsive nature—his desire for a Philistine wife, his riddles and revenge, and the early signs of a man led by passion rather than purpose.

This study challenges us to ask: What does it mean to be set apart for God? How do our choices shape the destiny God has planned for us? Through Samson’s beginnings, we see both the power of God’s calling and the dangers of compromise.

Join Jonathan Simpson as we look at the first part of our study in the life of Samson.
